Creation Kit Release & GDC12 Update

GDC is just around the corner.  I'll be returning to the Level Design in a Day tutorial and giving a talk about the pursuit of elegant solutions in game design.  We learned a lot of lessons while working on Skyrim, and I hope to share some of them with attendees.  Thanks to everyone who has come out in the past, and I look forward to seeing you again if you'll be making it to GDC 2012.

We'll try to keep folks updated - a facebook group has been set up, and we'll be using the #LDinaDay hashtag on Twitter to distribute information on the talk schedule and more in the coming weeks.


Today also marks the release of what I've been working on over the past few months - the public release of the Skyrim Creation Kit, the Creation Kit Wiki and video tutorial series, Skyrim integration with the Steam Workshop - and my personal favorite, a little collaboration that I've had the honor of working on with some of the fine developers both here at Bethesda and at Valve.

Suffice to say - it's been busy!

Modding the games I loved was a big part of how I knew I wanted to get into game development, so I'm very pleased to have helped out with this project - and I can't wait to see how Skyrim modders continue to amaze us.
